i feel like i'm really part of the world wide web. i just recieved my first scam e-mail about something or other from nigeria. the text follows

Dear Matthew,

I am Martins Osawande, a Solicitor. I am the Personal Attorney to Eng.T.
Matthew, a national of your country,who used to work with Agip Development
company in Nigeria.On the 6th of May 2001,my client, his wife And their
three children were involved in a car accident along Sagamu Express Road.
All occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost there lives.

Since then I have made several enquiries to your embassy to locate any of my

Since i have been unsuccesful in locating the the relatives for over 4years
now I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased so
that the proceeds of this account valued at $14.5 Million dollars can be
paid to you and then you and me can share the money. 50% to me and 45% to
you,while 5% should be rembursement of incidental expenses that may incure
during the process of the transactionor tax as your government may require,
I will secure certificate of deposit and other relevant approvals documents
that can be used to back up any claim we may make.All I require is your
honest cooperation to enable us see this deal through.
